Nine presenters from across the fields of economics, ecology, biology, finance, and management came together on June 22, 2022 to unpack the subject of diversity in their respective contexts. Besides being a modern-day social mantra uttered alongside “equity” and “inclusion,” diversity perhaps unsurprisingly carries different definitions, features, benefits, and costs in different contexts. Speakers were agreed that its significance for teams, organizations, and societies should not be underestimated and deserves more research, measurement, and ultimately, to be more clearly envisioned.
